What Is It?

A stable lower body is something that is integral to a successful putting stroke, however it is all too often neglected. The Backside Against the Wall drill can be performed at home to help work on lower body stability.

Your focus with this drill is to eliminate unnecessary movement with the lower body and keep stable. Receive immediate feedback when if your backside loses contact with the wall.

Who Should Do It?

  • Players with poor setup
  • Players with an inconsistent putting stroke

How Do You Do It?

  • Set up to make your putting stroke with your backside resting gently against the wall.
  • Feel as though your backside remains touching the wall throughout the stroke, without rotating off of the wall.
  • Make several practice strokes, then try putting a golf ball in this manner.
