What Is The Acceleration Drill?
If you are struggling with decelerating and not getting the ball to the hole, this drill will help you hit putts with a more aggressive tempo.
How Should Do It?
- Those who have trouble with inconsistent distance control.
How Do You Do It?
- Place an alignment stick at the front edge of the hole.
- Hit putts from three feet, giving the ball enough speed to hop over the stick and into the hole.
- If your putt ends short of the pin or doesn’t have enough speed to make it over, try again.
- Start with making 5 in a row with the stick.
- Remove the stick and make 5 in a row from 3 feet. If you miss, start the process over.
